Special K includes various options that allows users to manage and control the volume and audio behavior of both the current game as well as other running applications.
The volume of various components can be controlled through the in-game control panel of Special K, including the overall system volume, the overall application volume, and the volume of individual speakers.
Option | What it controls |

System-Wide Volume | Controls overall system volume. This is the same as Volume Mixer > Device in Windows. |
Session Master Volume | Controls overall application volume. This is the same as Volume Mixer > Applications in Windows. |
Speakers | Controls the volume of individual speakers of the selected application. This option has no counterpart in the Volume Mixer of Windows. |
Special K allows adjusting the volume of other running applications as well.

Special K can automatically mute games when focus is lost.
Mute Game
.To prevent games from muting the audio when they lose focus, enable continue rendering when out of focus.
Special K version 23.6.12.3 or newer required.
The keybinds can be set in the control panel and are stored in <path-to-SpecialK>\Global\osd.ini
